Before Adrianna (AKA Aunge) began her songwriting career, she was a poet, an Irish folk dancer, and a theater performer. "That's where I got my glam," says Aunge. "I really enjoyed the high glam and performance aspect of [Irish folk dance]." Aunge likes to incorporate what she learned from her theatrical background in theater to her performances as a musician. For her show at the High Dive with colleagues Maceo Sky & Mirabai Kukathas on September 30, Aunge organized the show's set lists in a non-traditional way, allowing for a more narrative driven, fluid & collaborative show. Today, as a songwriter, she also draws a lot of inspiration from rap & folk music.
